Left Your Junk Car Unattended For Months? No Problem! Use These Tips To Still Make Money Out Of It

1) Prepare your junk car for sale

You will need to remove the tires, wheels, gas tank, and engine. If an old car is not worth much, it doesn't matter if it gets ruined.

2) Ask around or research your car's current worth online

Some salvage yards will pay you to have junk cars hauled off their property. You can also sell it yourself through a classified ad on Craigslist or eBay, but that is not free.

3) Sell it in parts

You can sell the parts separately and make a profit.

4) Fix the repairable parts (try DIYing if possible)

This can be a great way to make money if you're handy and have some basic tools.

5) Put up 'Free Ads' on various classified sites

Sometimes, you can get lucky and find a buyer quickly. Put it up on Craigslist with a low price tag and your contact details embedded in the ad. You may also put it up on eBay with a low price tag. You will have to wait for the 'Buy It Now option.

6) Trade it to a used car dealer

If the junk car is worth less than $500, you can try trading it. It's not a great deal, but it may be worthwhile. Some dealers will give you a discount if they know that you are a student.

7) Sell it to the junkyard

This is not ideal, but it may be a last resort. You may have to pay more if the car has lots of mileage.

Conclusion

In conclusion, selling junk cars is the best decision for several reasons. By selling them quickly, you can get the most money for them and avoid the hassle of dealing with them later on. Additionally, you can use this money to buy a new car or put it towards another purpose.
